Job Summary Job Title: Patient Safety Attendant Schedule: 7am-7pm, Part- Time, Day Shift Department: Safety Attendants Location: Kernersville Medical Center – Kernersville, NC The Patient Safety Attendant provides continuous, direct observation to ensure the safety and well-being of patients at risk of harm to themselves or others. Working under the direction of nursing staff, this role supports a safe care environment by monitoring behavior, assisting with basic needs, and promptly reporting any changes in patient condition or safety concerns. Experience: Previous hospital experience, preferred. Licensure/certification/registration: De-Escalation Techniques (within 90 days of employment), required. Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment), required. Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training (within 90 days after completion of De-Escalation Training), required. Additional skills preferred: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable. Is knowledgeable regarding guidelines for infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics. Maintains acceptable standards set by those guidelines.
