Key Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to be embedded within the eero organization, providing security expertise and strategic guidance across our entire solutions ecosystem. In this role, you will partner closely with software development teams to ensure we maintain the highest security standards while delivering innovative services that protect millions of homes and businesses. Youll be integrated directly within eeros innovative culture, ensuring security is thoughtfully woven into every decision from initial design through deployment and beyond.

Your daytoday work may include analyzing application code for security vulnerabilities, building tools and frameworks that help developers work more securely and efficiently, or partnering with engineering teams to integrate security into new service architectures. You will conduct comprehensive security reviews and collaborate with product managers to balance security requirements with exceptional user experiences.

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• 3+ years of any combination of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience.
• 3+ years of any combination of application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing experience.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent, or 2+ years of IT Security experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud and web security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering security software tools.
• Experience working in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans.
• Knowledge of network and web related protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, or equivalent.
• Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions.
• Experience with embedded systems or IoT device security.
