Department/Unit: Pediatrics General Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $175,000-$285,000 Our pediatric care team offers a broad range of healthcare services in collaboration with pediatric sub specialists and surgeons at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital, Albany Med Health System. The hospital includes a 60 bed NICU, 19 bed PICU, and a modern pediatric emergency department opened in 2018. We are recruiting for multiple subspecialty opportunities. Clinical Geneticist The selected candidate will participate in clinical, research, and educational activities of the Division, collaborating with the department of pediatrics and Department of OB/GYN-Maternal Fetal Medicine. Clinical activities across General Genetics/Dysmorphology, Prenatal Genetics, Cancer Genetics, pharmacogenetics, Inborn Errors of Metabolism, and Newborn Screening Follow-up. Inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics. Clinical support from division leadership and our Medical Genetics Faculty, including genetic counselors, an NP, PA, RN, and a dietician. Teaching opportunities and potential for clinical research. Strong subspecialty support within pediatrics. Requirements: M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.; board certified/eligible in Clinical Genetics. Board certification/eligibility or experience in clinical molecular genetics is a plus. Base salary range: $180,000-$250,000 per year, depending on experience and training. Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician Functions of our team include diagnostic assessments and medical management for patients up to 21 years with developmental concerns. Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, ADHD, learning disorders, behavioral health disorders (including anxiety), neonatal follow-up. Collaborates with psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology, and genetics. Practice innovations include a Medical Home for children with ASD, feeding team development, and fast-track developmental screening for children under 5. Requirements: Board certification or eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics; interest in innovative programming; teaching experience; strong patient-centered care across diverse populations. Base salary range: $190,000-$198,000 per year; rank-based salary discussed at interview. Pediatric Gastroenterologist We seek a full-time Pediatric Gastroenterologist for a comprehensive clinical program serving children and adolescents with GI, hepatobiliary, and/or nutritional disease. Division overview: 4 full-time physicians, NPs, nurses, and a dietitian; collaboration with adult GI, radiology, pathology, pediatric surgery, behavioral health, social work, and child life; outpatient endoscopy with anesthesia support; major referral center for 25 counties. Responsibilities and requirements: Provide expert GI care for inflammatory bowel disease and functional GI disorders; perform diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy, pH/BRAVO studies, impedance, video capsule, anorectal/esophageal manometry. On-call inpatient schedule 1 in 5 weeks. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in multidisciplinary clinics; contribute to clinical research and quality improvement. Board eligibility or certification in pediatric gastroenterology required. Base salary range: $223,000-$233,000 per year; rank-based salary discussed at interview. Pediatric Intensivist Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine seeks an experienced Pediatric Intensivist at Associate or Full Professor level to join our team. 19-bed PICU with >1,000 annual admissions; serves 25 counties; collaboration with Congenital Heart Program. 24/7 in-house coverage with residents and advanced practice provider; oversight for air/ground transport; chronic ventilation management; sedation for oncology procedures. Fellowship program and High-Risk Infant Follow-up. Supports include obstetrics/gynecology, transplant, urology, and interventional radiology; collaborative quality initiatives with regional networks. Pediatric Nephrologist Board-certified/eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to join a vigorous clinical program focused on kidney disease in children. Division includes 2 pediatric pulmonologists and 2 NPs; provides inpatient and outpatient care to a 24-county region. CF Center with multidisciplinary team and strong quality improvement recognition; supports education for fellows, residents, medical students, and allied staff. Clinical tools: Pulmonary Function Laboratory, flexible laryngoscopy, and bronchoscopy with anesthesia. Regional collaboration with critical care, neonatology, hospital medicine, and subspecialties.
