Role Overview:

The team at GTI Energy is quickly expanding and we are seeking a Senior level Welding Engineer to join the team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a unique opportunity to patriciate in the planning and sustainment of new facilities and production lines for the Company. The Welding Engineer will be actively involved in the design, examination, and evaluation of welding processes, as well as the planning, supervisor and documentation of welding operations in accordance with relevant codes, contracts, and drawings. Working directly alongside Company ownership and the planning team for new facilities and production lines, this position will play an integral role in the overall success in the opening for new locations and production lines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete all documentation of welding operations and processes in accordance with relevant codes, contracts, or drawings.
• Analyze welding trends and productions needs to ensure that welding operations support production demands.
• Design processes, systems, or enhancements to maximize productivity, efficiency or manufacturing space related to welding.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of Company processes and procedures for a new facility.
• Monitor all stages of process and procedural development for the new facility to ensure all required welding standards in accordance with project specifications are being adhered to.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement recommendations for improving productivity or performance with welding.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  1. Master’s Degree preferred.
• At least 8 years’ experience in related field of work.
• At least 3 years’ experience in overseeing welding teams.
• Prior experience in developing welding documentation and procedures for new projects and/or facilities.
• Ability to interface with various groups including customers, vendors, contractors, and manufacturing team members.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
