Job Description

BGSF has teamed up with a mid-size law-firm who is in search of a Trademark Paralegal on a contract basis. Please note that this will operate on a hybrid schedule with the ability to work from home 2 days/week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file U.S. and international trademark applications, renewals, and other prosecution documents.
• Manage and maintain trademark docketing system, ensuring all deadlines are tracked and met.
• Conduct preliminary trademark searches and analyze results for potential conflicts.
• Assist in monitoring and enforcement of trademarks, including drafting cease and desist letters and coordinating with outside counsel.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date IP files and records.
• Support attorneys with IP litigation, oppositions, and cancellations, as needed.
• Review and assist with domain name registrations and disputes.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to advise on trademark usage and brand protection strategies.
• Monitor industry trends and legal developments relevant to trademarks and brand protection.

Required Skills

• Bachelors Degree required
• Need to have at least 3+ years of experience working as a Paralegal
• Must have 2+ years of experience working with Trademarks and IP law
• Must be open to contractual opportunities
