Overview: Free Fenix is looking for energetic, creative, and outgoing Marketing Interns to join our team for Summer 2025. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity for marketing students to gain real-world experience in brand activation, event marketing, and grassroots community engagement.
Interns will work closely with the Brand Activation Manager to assist with local marketing efforts for two of our key franchise partners - Clean Juice and Salata Salad Kitchen. Interns will help plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events throughout the Charlotte area, engaging directly with the community to build brand awareness and drive local traffic.
This is a dynamic, field-based internship perfect for students who want to get out from behind a desk, develop marketing skills, and experience the fast-paced world of brand marketing and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities: Event & Brand Activation Support - Research and identify local community events, festivals, pop-ups, and partnership opportunities within Charlotte.
- Assist with outreach to event organizers and community partners to secure participation.
- Support in the planning, logistics, and execution of events for Clean Juice and Salata activations.
- Serve as a brand ambassador at events - engaging with attendees, distributing promotional materials, and driving brand awareness.
Marketing Collateral & Outreach - Help distribute marketing materials (flyers, samples, coupons, promo items) around the Charlotte area.
- Identify and visit key local businesses, gyms, apartment complexes, and community hubs for outreach efforts.
- Assist in managing event materials, inventory, and setup/breakdown logistics.
Social & Content Support - Capture photos and content during activations and events for social media use.
- Assist in brainstorming creative ideas for local social content.
Reporting & Administrative Tasks - Provide recaps and reports following events and outreach efforts.
- Support the Brand Activation Manager with marketing planning and strategy sessions.
Who You Are: - Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with the public.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with a passion for events, branding, and community engagement.
- Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends based on event schedule.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have reliable transportation.
