Sr. Director, Field Sales - DoD and Intel Community Sales (Remote)

About The Role

CrowdStrike is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven, and experienced sales leader dedicated to making a difference in global security by protecting organizations against the most advanced attackers in the world. As the Sr. Director, Field Sales for the DoD and Intel Community Sales, you will manage all sales activities within CrowdStrikes Public Sector Federal organization for products and services. This challenging and highvisibility position provides leadership and management oversight to the Federal Regional Sales Managers (RSMs). You develop longterm strategies and shorterterm tactical plans to meet aggressive revenue goals. You must be extremely results driven, customer focused, technologically savvy, and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships.

This position will be remote and should reside in the DC/VA/MD metropolitan area.

What You'll Do

  • Provide management oversight to RSMs within the region to drive all pertinent issues related to sales strategy and goal attainment.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with the sales management team on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Communicate corporate strategy to employees within your region.
  • Plan and direct activities including planning and implementing forecasts, marketing program development, relationship development, customer satisfaction and collateral material development and distribution.
  • Establish short-term and long-term goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives.
  • Identify needed resources for supporting sales strategy and develop a proposed budget for senior management review.
  • Identify and qualify important enterprise sales opportunities at the management level.
  • Act as coach, mentor and educator to all RSMs within your region.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Keep senior leadership informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.

Management

  • Use management and technical skills to develop, modify and execute company policies that affect operations and may have a companywide effect.
  • Implement strategic policies and establish and adhere to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Coordinate activities of a region, with full responsibility for oversight in terms of costs, methods and staffing.
  • Act as an advisor or subjectmatter expert.
  • Set revenue targets and ensure targets are met.

What You'll Need

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
  • Passionate relationship building and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across functions including the channel, marketing, sales operations, sales engineering, services, customer support, and product management.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, especially endpoint security.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of the competitive offerings in the crowded endpoint security marketplace.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
  • An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
  • Experience as a successful sales leader with a track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas in contiguous, multiple years.
  • Demonstrated experience working with sales organizations and technical teams.
  • Experience with developing budgets and predicting project costs.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude.
  • Ability to work remotely and be willing to travel on short notice, up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong understanding of cloudbased technology, concepts and value propositions is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of and experience managing through various Federal technology certifications and regulatory compliance standards is highly preferred.

Bonus Points

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as an individual contributor and a minimum of 5 years as a people manager is required.
  • Experience as a front line sales manager leading a sales team selling into Federal accounts is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is desirable.

Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $175,000 - $235,000 per year, with eligibility for commissions, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
