Sewer and Drain Technician
We are seeking an experienced, friendly and responsible Sewer and Drain Technician to join our team. Will be working on a broad spectrum of responsibilities, primarily maintaining and repairing drainage systems. The environment or setting is in homes, business and industrial sites. Will be answering to a skilled journeyman. The position is a hands-on approach, candidates are to be physically fit and able to provide good customer service. Able to work independently. Must be able to problem solve, work under pressure and adhere to safety regulations. Willing to train a motivated candidate. Benefits & Advancement.
Skills & Responsibilities of Sewer and Drain Technician
· Inspect and diagnose drain and sewer line blockages using specialized cameras and equipment to determine the cause and location of clogs or damage.
· Clear blockages in drains and sewer lines using mechanical drain cleaning machines, high-pressure water getting, and other specialized tools. Thaw sewer lines with steam.
· Setting toilets and replacing wax rings.
· Perform routine maintenance on residential and commercial drainage systems to prevent future blockages and ensure smooth operation, when requested by clients.
· Educate customers on proper drain maintenance practices and the cause of drain blockages to prevent future problems.
· Respond to emergency calls for urgent drain and sewer line blockages, working outside of normal business hours, when necessary.
Requirements of Sewer and Drain Technician
· Current Alaska driver’s license (CDL Preferred)
· Current certificates for trade
· Ability to meet physical requirements of manual labor
· Willingness to learn new skills pertaining to service work
· Excellent customer service skills
· High School or equivalent (GED)

Schedule
· 8am to 5 pm (One hour lunch break)
· Monday through Friday

Pay: Starting at $18-$20, DOE. (Wages are negotiable if carrying CDL license)
