Job Title: Sports Copy Editor
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
The Times-Picayune | The Advocate is seeking a detail-oriented copy editor who will join an award-winning group of paginators on our sports desk. The job is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and will be part of a sports desk that designs pages and edits copy for The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, The Advocate in Baton Rouge and The Acadiana Advocate in Lafayette. Applications from those who prefer to work remotely will be accepted.
These three publications provide coverage of a vibrant sports scene in South Louisiana, including the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, LSU, the University of Louisiana and high schools. For the sixth consecutive year, The Advocate | Times-Picayune was chosen as one of the 10 best sports sections in APSE’s A Division - competing against publications like the Washington Post, New York Times and Los Angeles Times.
