The Protective Force Trainer is responsible for conducting and coordinating training initiatives for the Protective Force. Specific duties include the preparation of job analysis reports, annual training plans, coordinating an annual schedule of training activities, tracking progress of training commitments, and maintaining related training records. Additional duties may include Intermediate Force Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Advanced Firearm Instructor and Armorer certifications, and participation in the Naval Reactors (NR) Composite Adversary Team activities in a participant and/or support role to conduct tactical training exercises throughout the NR Program. The selected candidate is expected to develop and maintain aggressive training schedules, as well as travel to other Program sites, in support of Protective Force training initiatives. The selected candidate must maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) "Q" clearance and Security Police Officer qualifications (e.g., medical, physical fitness, firearms, etc.), obtain other manufacture instructor certifications. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience; or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or Journeyman's papers in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills Previous experience as a firearms instructor. Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
