Job Description
Citadel Roofing and Solar is looking for a Roofing Estimator. This position is full-time and is based in our Santa Clarita office. Our team is made up of industry veterans with more than 30 years of experience, and a stellar reputation of service excellence to new construction home builders throughout Northern and Southern California.
Responsibilities :
· Responsible for completing detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets.
· Prepare quotations from architectural drawings.
· Perform clerical duties associated with keeping up filing and job folders,
· Read construction blue prints, drawings, plans and specifications and prepare estimates
· Gather and calculate take-off data from a digital take-off program
· Build and retain relationships with vendors
· Ensure thoroughness of estimates and help with ease of construction by field operations
· Keep and track bid schedule
Qualifications:
Preferred
· Education: High school diploma. College degree or some college experience preferable.
· Experience in estimating construction or architectural products
· Experience in reading construction drawings and specifications. Demonstrated aptitude will be considered in lieu of experience.
· Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Required
· Experience with digital takeoff programs or drafting software. Examples: Edge estimating software, OST, Quickbid.
