Position Summary

The goal of the Production Associate is to optimize employee and equipment effectiveness and efficiency, and to reduce waste and meet company objectives. Works under direct guidance of Team Lead.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands and complies with company food safety program and regulatory requirements to ensure the safe production of food.
  • Complies with company safety/environmental program and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates company values and vivid vision.
  • Complete all tasks with honesty and integrity.
  • Participates in preventing errors occurring in production.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and audit ready work station at all times.
  • Ensures that production and food safety documents are accurate and completed.
  • Completes timely changeovers between production runs.
  • Consistently meets performance expectations.
  • Performs other projects/tasks/assignments as assigned

Education and Experience, Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Education and Experience, Desired:

  • 3 years’ experience working in food manufacturing

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55.115 pounds

Under normal circumstances, noise levels are above OSHA thresholds which require PPE. Hazards: Gloves are required when in direct contact with food. Production Associates are required to wear PPE in designated areas. This position frequently works with hazardous substances and/or processes. Strict adherence to company defined Hazard Control policies and procedures are a condition of employment.
