Position title Physician Assistant of Gastroenterology

Job Summary We are looking for specialized Gastroenterology Physician Assistants who not only specialize in gastroenterology, but also in hepatology.

• Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns.
• Work with patients who suffer from celiac disease, gallbladder disease, chronic pancreatic disease, esophageal cancer, esophageal dysmotility or GERD, on a daily basis.
• Performing specialized tests to diagnose patients.
• Treat patients who suffer from various pancreatic diseases like Hepatitis B or C, hemochromatosis, autoimmune liver disease, cirrhosis, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer, Crohns disease and many others.
• Determining proper courses of treatment.
• Consulting with a patient's primary doctor.
• Analyzing patient historical data.
• Consulting with other Providers, such as oncologists, in the case of cancer.
• Performing X-Ray, MRI, and ultrasound scanning.
• Graduated from an Accredited PA Program in the state of NY
• Prefer clinical working experience as an PA within the given specialty/service line recommended, but none required.
• Proficiency in performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.
• Proficiency with X-Rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scanning.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Salary $115,000-$130,000
