Philanthropy Assistant

Community Foundation

Miami (Hybrid)

Salary: $50,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience (Paid hourly and OT Eligible)

Terrific Philanthropy Assistant position with a large foundation committed to strengthening the communities of South Florida and furthering philanthropic initiatives across the country. The Philanthropy Assistant is an integral role providing administrative support to the Philanthropy team. This position provides great long-term growth potential within the organization. Typical responsibilities include maintaining and updating donor records, creating donor related documents, managing donor inquiries, coordinating meetings, and providing other relevant support, as needed. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented and possess stellar customer service skills. Candidates should have approximately 2-3+ years of related work experience. This position currently operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in the Miami area. The salary for this position is $50,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience. It is paid hourly and eligible for overtime.

Responsibilities:
  • Update and maintain donor records within the CRM
  • Maintain confidential donor documents, reports, agreements, and other important documents with accuracy
  • Provide the highest level of customer services to various stakeholders
  • Manage basic donor inquiries
  • Triage and mitigate potential issues as they arise
  • Interface with other assistants at the foundation to gather relevant information and ensure a timely response to requests
  • Oversee moves management of all donor records within the CRM
  • Provide general administrative support, including meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense reports
  • Oversee stewardship for a small portfolio of donors

Qualifications:
  • Approximately 2-3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Passionate about making an impact in underserved communities
  • Ability and desire to own the work
  • Possess an attention to detail
  • Experience donor CRM software, project management software, and Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience working at a nonprofit, foundation, or other related organization
  • Looking to grow with an organization
  • Ability to embrace challenges and eager to learn
