As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Part-Time Attorney to represent our clients in litigation and related matters in the Albany area . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney looking for a flexible schedule while working with a respected New York City–based firm.
Position Overview
The Part-Time Attorney will handle court appearances, hearings, and litigation support in Albany and surrounding counties. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to collaborate with an experienced legal team while maintaining work-life balance.
You will represent the firm in court, support case strategy, and contribute to ongoing litigation efforts, making this position ideal for a professional who values flexibility without sacrificing meaningful legal work.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the firm in court appearances, hearings, and conferences in Albany and nearby counties
Prepare and review case files, pleadings, and litigation documents
Collaborate with firm attorneys and staff regarding case strategy and assignments
Provide timely status updates and reports on cases and outcomes
Conduct legal research and assist with drafting and filings as needed
Maintain the firm’s high standards of professionalism and client service
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admitted and in good standing with the New York State Bar
Experience in litigation, probate litigation, or trusts & estates preferred
Strong oral advocacy, writing, and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Based in or near Albany, NY
