Description
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and eager-to-learn Network Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. In this entry-level position, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity for our healthcare systems and devices. Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
Provide basic troubleshooting and support for network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and software configurations.
Work with senior network staff to perform routine network maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.
Support the implementation of network upgrades, installations, and configuration changes.
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Collaborate with the healthcare IT team to ensure that network performance aligns with HIPAA compliance and security standards.
Maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions using ticketing systems.
Participate in network-related projects and initiatives to improve performance and security.
Provide end-user support for network-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
Familiarity with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) and network protocols.
Experience with or a willingness to learn network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
An interest in healthcare IT systems and a commitment to supporting healthcare technology in a secure and reliable manner.
Preferred (but not required):
Basic understanding of healthcare IT compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Experience or certification in networking (CompTIA Network+, Cisco, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud services and network virtualization.
