Department Details
The Advanced Reproductive Laboratory is a unique, well-established laboratory space with great work life balance. It is divided into three sections - Andrology, Chemistry, and Embryology. We work in conjunction with the Fertility & Reproductive Clinic. Our clinic population are clinic fertility patients and on occasion, patients from other fertility clinics.
The candidate for this position will receive training on-site to replace our current General Supervisor of Chemistry. They will also receive training on preparing sperm for Intrauterine Inseminations for weekend coverage.
The laboratory is open 7am - 4:30pm. Part-time position hours to be determined with new hire. Full-time position is Monday through Friday, 7am-4:30pm for 4 of those days, and one day 7-11am.
On call weekends and holidays are required. This is in rotation with current staff, so new hire should expect to be on call every 5-7 weekends and 1-2 holidays/year. Weekend hours are generally 7-10:30am on Saturdays, and rarely Sunday. Saturday hours may be shorter or longer depending on clinic schedule.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or be registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
