Medical Insurance Collector

Position:  PRN, Remote

Shift: Varies

For nearly 60 years, Calvary Healing Center has provided a full continuum of care, specializing in addiction treatment for adults across the Phoenix area and Nationwide.  Calvary’s proven treatment programs address the practical, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction for lasting recovery. Our flagship location in Phoenix offers onsite detoxification and residential treatment programs, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). We also have a satellite clinic offering Intensive Outpatient Programs in the West Valley region.  Through our programs we offer many other holistic healing and treatment options complementing our services ranging from yoga, art workshops, and music.

Summary of Duties:

The Medical Insurance Collector will resolve complex insurance claim issues (specifically with State Medicaid) that are adversely impacting the revenue cycle management process and obtain resolution through coordination, reconciliation, and denied management claim. Review reports and correspondence to locate and address outstanding claims, denials, drafting and submitting appeals to insurance carriers. Respond to and resolve patient billing inquiries, via email or over the phone.

Medical Insurance Collector Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• At least 2 years’ experience with medical billing, especially in the area of account reconciliation.
• Ability to obtain Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card within 30 days of hire. 
• Behavioral Health knowledge preferred.
• Experience interacting with external payers and stakeholders.
