Description The Healthcare Mobile Unit Driver is responsible for the safe operation, security, and maintenance of the mobile health unit. This role involves transporting the unit to various locations, ensuring the vehicle is secure and operational, and providing support to the healthcare team during service delivery. Requirements Driving and Transportation: Safely operate and drive the healthcare mobile unit to scheduled locations. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely arrival. Ensure the mobile unit complies with all traffic regulations and safety standards. Security: Monitor and ensure the security of the mobile unit at all times. Implement and follow security protocols to protect the vehicle and its contents. Report any security incidents or breaches to the Mobile Health Services Coordinator immediately. Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the mobile unit to ensure it is in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and battery). Schedule and coordinate with external vendors for more extensive repairs and maintenance. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs conducted. Support Services: Assist healthcare professionals with setting up and dismantling equipment and supplies at service locations. Ensure the interior of the mobile unit is clean, organized, and ready for daily operations. Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and report shortages to the Mobile Health Services Coordinator. Keeps all patient information private and confidential. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Stay updated on policies and procedures related to the operation of the mobile unit. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and 1 year of experience. Must be at least 26 years old. Excellent driving record and Maryland drivers license required. Ability to operate large vehicles for extended periods of time. Knowledge of applicable safety practices and standards of vehicle operation. Basic knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics. Organizational and prioritization skills, with ability to meet deadlines. At least 1 year of experience driving large commercial vehicles preferred. At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Customer service experience preferred.
