In this critical role, you will be responsible for fueling and performing routine maintenance on heavy equipment at various construction job sites. To operate truck, to fuel and grease heavy equipment and provide fluids as needed for the equipment.

• Operate and drive a fuel and lube truck to various job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Keep shop and lube truck organized and clean.
• Communicate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
• Fuel up heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and other machinery.
• Work with onsite supervision to support all job/ project needs for fuel, oils, supplies and minor maintenance of the equipment fleet as needed.
• Maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail. This includes: track Fuel, oil, DEF, grease, equipment hours and filters.
• Ensure sufficient inventory of all filters, fuel and oil.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Organize daily routine and maximize time and delivery methods.
• Assist mechanics on equipment maintenance, repair as needed.
• Report any incidents or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) required with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement.
• Clean MVR record.
• Florida Phosphate Certification.
• PREFERRED Valid MSHA Certification.
• Pass DOT drug screen and physical.
• Have a minimum of 1-2 years of Fuel/Lube truck driving experience or a minimum of 1-2 years of training with a minimum of 6 months of equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 1 years of field maintenance of heavy equipment experience.
• Willing to do laborer work.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines governing the transportation of hazardous materials.

• Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
• Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)

  • Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.
  • Potential exposure to chemical substances
