The Food and Beverage Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests while supporting the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining, attention to detail, and leadership skills.

The Hourly Range for this position is $18-20 per hour plus service charge, which means the total hourly earning potential typically ranges from $28 to $35 per hour. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional service quality and efficiency.
  • Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to implement service standards, operational procedures, and training programs.
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in scheduling, staffing, and ensuring optimal labor cost management.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage waste reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Support special events, banquets, and private dining experiences as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a luxury resort or fine dining setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and fine dining service standards.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
