Clinical Faculty, Orange Pediatrics, Primary Care The Department of Pediatrics Division of Primary Care at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital seeks candidates for a non‑tenure eligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The position will begin in April 2026 and is ideal for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in advancing their career through excellence in clinical practice, teaching, quality improvement, and advocacy. Key responsibilities include providing high‑quality patient care, precepting residents and medical students, participating in the Pediatric Patient‑Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model of care, and maintaining certification activities such as quality‑improvement projects and monthly PCMH meetings. UVA Pediatrics at Orange is located in a rural community in Orange, VA, about 45 minutes from Charlottesville. The practice currently consists of six faculty members, a full‑time social worker, part‑time psychologist, nurse care coordinator, and dedicated nursing staff. UVA Pediatrics at Orange achieved NCQA Patient‑Centered Medical Home certification in 2019 and is the only UVA pediatric practice with this distinction. The environment is highly collaborative with pediatric subspecialists, surgical colleagues, and adult medicine partners.
