Qualifications Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification / licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Dentist Basic Requirements A Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from an approved school. Completed or currently completing a residency in general practice or specialty, or comparable experience treating medically compromised patients. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia. Dentists must maintain current registration if required for licensure.
