Job Description

KIDS Interactive Day School has a strong passion for enhancing the education and care of children in a way where learning and play can happen simultaneously. We strive to accomplish this through our engaging educational plans, developmentally appropriate activities, and supportive teachers. The ideal candidate would have prior working experience in a childcare setting and can contribute to the collaborative and nurturing working environment.

Qualifications:

· Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements

· At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required

· Minimum 1 year working with children in a childcare setting (babysitting, nanny, teacher) and ranging from infant to preschool

· Patience and ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy and provide solution-based approaches

Responsibilities:

· Full-time and part-time positions available caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children

· Engage and interact in learning and hands-on activities to meet the educational needs and interests of the children that promotes self-exploration

· Understanding of early childhood education principles and apply the practices to the respective students

· Ability to create an engaging, comprehensive, and well-rounded age-appropriate learning plan for the students

· Provide clear communication daily to the parents/families, including key highlights/milestones in the child’s day

· Provide continuous updates on the students to the Director/Assistant Director on the learning progression of the child and/or any notable concerns

· Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful classroom by following the company procedures and guidelines

· Create a safe and nurturing environment for the student to grow and learn, promoting their physical, emotional, an intellectual development

· Supervise and monitor children during all indoor and outdoor activities

· Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and clean-up

· Must be able to carry up to 35 pounds

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Compensation: $15-18/hour based on experience

Desired Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or GED

- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related filed (preferred)

- Minimum 1 year experience in childcare setting

- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles

- CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)

- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)

- Compassionate, patient, and creative individual who loves working with children
