Role Description

This is a remote role for an Estimator for a company located in Sunshine Coast, BC. Preference is for a contract role, but full time will be considered. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, assessing material and labor costs, and preparing bid proposals. Responsibilities also include maintaining communication with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimating and preparing detailed construction project estimates for commercial projects is required.
• Knowledge of BC Building Codes.
• Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in heavy timber and log construction is a plus
