As the Community Troop Organizer, you will be assisting with establishing new troops in the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Recruiting and supporting girls and adult volunteers to form newly created community-based Girl Scout troops
- Coordinating and training troop volunteers to support the delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
- Developing and delivering high-quality Girl Scout experiences to girls, including troop meetings
- Developing relationships within the community, and attending community events on behalf of Girl Scouts
EXPERIENCE NEEDED: - High school diploma and work experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Experience working with youth
- Experience working with local school systems and community organizations, desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Evening and Weekend availability required- up to 19 hours each week
