Job Description:

Summer Seasonal Position

Applicant must be a current college student.

This role will work closely with the Special Events Manager and Film and Photography Manager and relieve a small team of employees of clerical work and minor administrative duties.

Examples of Duties

  • Works with Tourism Managers to review Special Events and Film and Photography permit applications.
  • Organizes and maintains file system for Special Events and Film and Photography permit applications.
  • Interacts with applicants to request additional information if applications are incomplete or additional documents are required.
  • Utilizes the Government Portal software to assist with data entry and database management.
  • Documents the key discussions, decisions, and action items that occur during meetings for Special Events Committee and Film and Photography activities.
  • Updates citizen facing and internal calendars for Special Events and Film and Photography activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Current college student pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Available to work 10 to 15 hours per week for 8 weeks from June – August.

Other Necessary Requirements:

  • In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
  • May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
