Prison Fellowship® trains and inspires churches and communities—inside and outside of prison—to support the restoration of those affected by incarceration. We equip correctional leaders, volunteers, and incarcerated men and women to make prisons more rehabilitative places; we advocate for a more restorative criminal justice system; and we collaborate with churches and local service providers to support former prisoners, their families, and their communities.

What we are looking for:

A driven and mission-focused Writer/Editor Intern  to support writing and editing efforts on the Marketing and Communications team. 

Expectations of this role:

• Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions
• Assist with interviewing, researching, writing, copyediting and proofreading 
• Assist with creating story spreadsheets/archiving Airtable or similar PM apps
• Assist with consolidating and cleaning correctional facility data/updating distribution lists
• Perform other duties as requested
• This is a remote/work from home position

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Word or a basic PM Software (Wrike preferred)
• Ability to use Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to use Excel, Smartsheet and Airtable preferred
• Familiarity with AP Style Writing/Journalism
• Proficiency with the Internet (Facebook/Google/Getty)

What we offer:

The start and end dates are flexible but this internship is approximately 8 weeks long and between 10-30 hours per week. The rate of pay is projected to be $16-18/hour.
