Position Summary: Grow a healthy and thriving disciple-making ministry for women at Venture, where those far from God are drawn into a relationship with Jesus, those new to their faith are established and growing, and those who are growing are equipped to serve and disciple others. Develop and lead a team of leaders who are called and equipped to lead ministries, disciple women, and train disciple-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set a vision and mission for the overall ministry for women that aligns with the vision of our church.
• Establish a strategic growth path for women to be developed, discipled, and launched.
• Recruit, develop, train, and mentor volunteer leaders to ensure their ongoing development as they lead others.
• Lead the Women’s Ministry Team of volunteers to disciple women through groups, classes, and 1-on-1 relationships.
• Develop a culture of multiplying leaders through discipleship and apprenticing.
• Plan and implement Bible studies, groups, events, and programs that foster spiritual growth.
• Challenge each of the various Women’s Ministry groups to serve and engage their neighbors and friends in the community in meaningful and strategic ways.
• Develop and implement an annual strategic plan and budget for areas of responsibility.
• Provide pastoral care to women who come to you through conversations, meetings, phone calls, etc.
• Launch new groups during group promotion seasons and after women’s events.
• Oversee Childcare Coordinator.
• Work with the IT group to ensure that the website and groupfinder are current and effective at helping people find groups and classes within Women’s Ministry.
• Leverage group promotion seasons (Sept., Jan., Spring, at new teaching series, etc.) to raise the visibility and engagement in groups and classes.
• Partner with the Communications team on the design and production of print and digital assets for each season.
• Collect and share stories that will increase awareness and desire to participate in Women’s Ministries.
• Report regularly on key metrics for the Women’s Ministry to share with Executive Leadership Team and elders.

The above summary represents the major tasks and duties. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Therefore, the individual may perform other related tasks under the direction of the relevant pastors/directors.

Qualifications – Education, Skills, Experience:

• Theological training or equivalent work experience in theology and/or ministry leadership.
• Positive, collaborative, and inspiring leader.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite.
• Positive attitude, solid problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and quick responses in fast-paced settings.
• Experience in conflict resolution using biblical principles and good judgment.
• Strong commitment to personal and professional growth.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.

• Articulate and model a Christ-centered life consistent with Scripture, a growing and visible personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Actively engaged in the life of the church and ministry outside the daily time at work.
• Fully support the mission, vision, doctrinal statements, strategy, and leadership of Venture Christian Church.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend or stand or climb on step ladders as necessary.

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday and weekend services as needed. Additional workdays or hours may be required for events, volunteer training, and programs, etc. Schedule may change based on ministry and organizational needs.
