Pharmacist – Fort Yates, ND / McLaughlin, SD

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at the Indian Health Services Hospital in Fort Yates, North Dakota. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve communities in need, where patients often travel great distances to receive care. The position involves onsite pharmacy services to support both the Fort Yates Hospital and the McLaughlin Clinic in South Dakota.

Available Locations:

• Fort Yates Hospital – 10 Standing Rock Ave, Fort Yates, ND 58538
• McLaughlin Clinic – 701 East 6th Street, McLaughlin, SD 57642

Shift: Minimum of 40 hours per week. Shifts may vary between 8, 10, or 12 hours, and may include daytime or nighttime schedules, based on facility needs.

Contract Length: At least 1 year

Pay Rate: $65.00 per hour + $31.15 per hour in stipends

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations and hospital protocols
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, interactions, and patient safety
• Provide consultations and education to patients regarding medication usage and side effects
• Maintain inventory of medications and order supplies as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care
• Participate in quality assurance and medication safety programs
• Support hospital and clinic operations as needed with professional pharmacy services

Requirements:

• Pharmacist diploma from an accredited institution
• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to serving rural communities with professionalism and empathy
