• Location: Charleston, SC 29407 – Explore South Carolina nursing jobs in a city known for its historic architecture, world-class cuisine, and beautiful beaches.\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1700-$1820/week\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract\n
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center (West Ashley Pavilion)\n
• Start Date: November 24, 2025\n
• End Date: February 23, 2026\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts per week (06:30am – 5:00pm); occasional late stay required\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks)\n
• No on-call required \n
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active South Carolina or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License (must be active prior to start)\n
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)\n
• Radiation badge (provided by employer)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center\n
• Clinical experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics (total joints, arthroscopy), ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, and related specialties\n
• Epic EMR charting experience preferred\n
• Ability to float within perioperative facility as needed\n
• Strong IV skills, medication administration, and patient assessment abilities\n
• RN with scrub ability is a plus, but not required\n
• First-time travel nurses not accepted\n

\n\nOR RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Prepare surgical patients by reviewing medical history, performing medication reconciliation, obtaining vital signs, EKGs, starting IVs, and administering fluids/medications\n
• Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures, with emphasis on orthopedic cases (total joints, arthroscopy, hand, shoulder, elbow, foot, ankle, and limited spine)\n
• Monitor and recover post-anesthesia patients, ensuring safe transition through all phases of post-anesthesia care\n
• Provide comprehensive discharge instructions and facilitate safe patient discharge\n
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care\n
• Operate advanced OR equipment including Skytron beds, Stryker power tools, Arthrex arthroscopy systems, and more\n
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols\n
