\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
\n\nOpportunity:
\nRN - Med Surg Orthopedics Tele
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts
\n• Float to similar Med Surg Telemetry units (D1, F2) as needed
\n• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) on day shift Monday-Friday from 10:30-11:15 AM
\n• Provide head-to-toe assessments and orthopedic care knowledge
\n• Administer IV medications including Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin IV or subQ
\n• Perform wound care including drain management and VACs
\n• Manage NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition
\n• Handle central line management including PICC/HD catheter/midlines
\n• Provide foley/nephrostomy/suprapubic catheter care and ostomy care
\n• Deliver postoperative patient care
\n• Perform nasogastric tube procedures
\n• Use equipment including Hoyer lifts, automated BP machines, bladder scanner, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finder
\n• Document using Altera/Allscripts Sunrise system
\n• Required certifications: RN License, ACLS, BLS
\n• Dress code: scrubs and closed-toe shoes (no crocs)

\nThis healthcare organization operates a 48-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit with an average census of 27 patients. The facility features modern equipment including brand new blood pressure machines and maintains excellent employee retention rates with a fantastic team atmosphere.
