\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work in emergency department with 1:4 patient ratios
\n• Minimum 2 years of experience required
\n• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC
\n• No on-call responsibilities
\n• No floating within facility required
\n• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
\n• Maximum one week requested time off, must make up at end of contract
\n• Expected to work holiday schedule including 3 of 4 major holidays
\n• Cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native population required
\n• Work with complex patient population including social history and domestic violence cases
\n• Handle Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma ER and behavioral health population
\n• Care for all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
\n• Daily census of 150 cases with 33 rooms and 32 beds
\n• Work in 21-bed main ED with 4 hallway and 8 overflow rooms
\n• Utilize Cerner charting system
\n• Wear navy scrubs (provided for L&D/OR)
\n• Complete 52 hours of orientation and annual modules via HealthStream
\n• Must obtain Alaska license prior to starting (Compact accepted for submittal)
\n• Must reside minimum 100 miles from facility
Facility:
\nThis acute care hospital is a 152-bed Magnet facility that serves as a tertiary medical center for the Alaska Tribal Health Consortium. The facility specializes in providing comprehensive emergency and trauma services to the Alaska Native population from throughout the state. The emergency department features advanced equipment including butterfly system for ultrasound IV placement and provides interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support.
