Job Description

TIG/MIG Welder: Burlington, Wisconsin

Our customer in Burlington, Wisconsin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We're hiring a TIG/MIG Welder to work full-time on 1st shift. As a TIG/MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding, fitting, material handling, and ensuring high-quality fabricated products.

Responsibilities of the TIG/MIG Welder:

  1. Weld pieces together in flat, vertical, or overhead positions according to documented prints.
  2. Use measuring devices to assist in the layout and fit of steel components.
  3. Grind burrs and sharp edges using hand grinders.
  4. Examine completed work pieces for defects including deformed edges or marred surfaces.
  5. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials throughout the shop and between departments.
  6. Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work habits.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Tig/Mig welding and fitting experience.
  • Ability to use basic mathematics, read blueprints, and take accurate measurements.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
  • Skilled in inspecting fabricated parts before welding.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and work overtime when needed.

Pay for TIG/MIG Welder: Up to $27 per hour.

Type: 1st Shift, Full-time

Hours: 6:00am 4:30pm

Schedule: Monday Thursday, overtime as needed
