This Teacher I will be responsible for:

• Caring for the welfare, health and safety of the children in the group.
• Carrying out the Center policies regarding the safety and well-being of children.
• Planning and supervising daily activities.
• Preparing healthy snacks, feeds and diapers children.
• Preparing and selecting age appropriate materials, and helps foster and facilitate play between children.
• Developing trusting relationships with children.
• Reporting to team unusual or extreme behavior which may indicate emotional, developmental or physical problems.
• Carrying out plans developed for supporting children with extra needs.
• Working to develop supportive, cooperative relationships with parents.
• Communicating with parents about children's activities and enforces Center policies when necessary.
• Participating in preparation of progress reports on children. If teacher qualified, may prepare written progress reports on children.
• Working individually and as a team to bring about positive learning and work environment.
• Attending appropriate staff meetings, parent functions, advisory meetings and 20 hours of required in service training. If teacher qualified, may be responsible for opening or closing the Center.
  To qualify, you must have:

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field preferred.
• One to two years of professional teaching experience with infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
• D.E.E.C Infant Toddler/Pre-School Teacher Certified
• First Aid/CPR Certified
