Your Role Is to satisfy the company's and fitters' expectations of quality alterations workmanship, re-sizing and re-styling of all merchandise retailed in a Neiman Marcus store. Also to help fitters achieve fit result with professional assistance concerning workmanship and structural quality of apparel merchandise. Altering garments with professional workmanship, producing quality that is equal to, or better than the original garment construction.
What You'll Do •Complete the garments in accordance with the fitter's intent to achieve the desired fit of the altered garment. •Complete daily assignment by 2:00 p.m. Self-inspect all garments altered to ensure consistency with workmanship quality. •Follow the fitting marks and fitter's instructions as intended by the fitter. •Maintain the station equipment and tools in an orderly, clean, and functional shape.Inform the reporting supervisor if expert or outside maintenance is required. •Avoid doing substandard work that could trigger an RFA (Return for Alteration). •Demonstrate ability to understand fitter's written ticket communication and Neiman Marcus'standard fitting and marking symbols.
What You Bring Must have experience/knowledge on tailoring of business type suites, shirts, and fashion trend of higher-end designer clothing.
