Job Description
A regional school district is seeking a Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in providing daily health services to students across campus sites. This role requires professionalism, reliability, and commitment to maintaining the highest level of care. Completion of state fingerprinting and background clearance is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Provide first aid and emergency medical response to students and staff as needed.
Administer medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
Support students with chronic or ongoing medical needs under supervision of a registered nurse.
Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing activities and ensure compliance with state health standards.
Collaborate with school staff to promote wellness and safety within the learning environment.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
Current Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Experience in pediatric, community health, or educational settings preferred.
Must complete required fingerprinting and background clearance.
Excellent communication skills and calm response in emergencies.
Familiarity with confidentiality standards and health record management.
