Job Description
An educational services organization is recruiting a Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver student healthcare support in school settings. The role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of students while providing professional nursing services. Fingerprinting and background clearance must be completed before placement.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications and provide basic treatments according to prescribed plans.
Respond promptly to student illnesses, injuries, or emergencies with appropriate care.
Document nursing interventions and maintain confidentiality of student health records.
Monitor students with ongoing medical needs, ensuring consistent implementation of healthcare plans.
Assist with screenings and preventive health activities as directed by the supervising registered nurse.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
Active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Prior experience in pediatric or school health environments preferred.
Must complete state fingerprinting and pass required background screening.
Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities.
Dependable, flexible, and comfortable adapting to multiple school settings.
