Start-up & Warranty Tech Positions and Responsibilities:

Start-up Tech I - This entry-level position is ideal for a self-starter with little to no experience or knowledge in the HVAC industry. The Start-up Tech I must be EPA certified. Responsibilities include assisting in voltage reads, taking amp draws, align tension belts, installation of filters, equipment identification, start-up small pieces of equipment, fill out start-up sheets, willing and eager to learn and follow direction. Must be able to work in extreme heat, out of town and weekends when needed. Pay range: $23-28/hr

Start-up Tech II - This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and a solid understanding of start-up, warranty and HVAC service. The Start-up Tech II must be EPA certified. Responsibilities include: voltage reads, amp draws, alignment of tension belts, filter installs, proficient in reading blueprints and identifying equipment locations, recover and pull vacuums, weigh charge-in units, ability to start-up equipment with little direction, ability to identify installation issues, soft soldering and brazing, install unit accessories, wire low voltage, ability to diagnose smaller issues, strong communication with Foreman and Superintendents, provide thorough and accurate information from warranty calls, neatly document work in Procore, accurate and timely completion of all paperwork. Must be able to work in extreme heat, out of town and weekends when needed. Pay range: $29-34/hr

Start-up Tech III - This position requires at least 5 years of experience and mastery in start-up, warranty and HVAC service. The Start-up Tech III works independently and must have an EPA Certification. Responsibilities include: leading and mentoring Start-up Techs I & II, ability to start-up any and all equipment, ability to identify and diagnose complex installation issues, ability to lead and direct vendor communications, ability to proactively problem solve, strong communication with customers, Project Managers, Foreman and Superintendents to coordinate work and repairs, strong communication with Start-up and Warranty Manager, provide thorough and accurate information from warranty calls, neatly document work in Procore, accurate and timely completion of all paperwork. Must be able to work in extreme heat, out of town and weekends when needed Pay range: $35-40/hr

Pay Range: $23 - $40 per hour Modigent
