Job Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant, CPA in the non-profit industry, located in Fort Worth, Texas. This role requires a skilled individual to assist in administering the overall fiscal control of the organization, provide financial information and reports, review processes and transactions, research issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is a great opportunity to eventually grow into an Accounting Director role or CFO in a few short years. Active CPA is a requirement. Responsibilities:
• Utilize advanced accounting knowledge to assist in the administration of the overall fiscal control of the organization
• Interact with other programs and departments to provide financial information and reports
• Review processes and transactions, and research issues
• Provide technical expertise and support in various accounting areas
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for new business initiatives, contracts, and transactions
• Research and stay up to date on accounting standards and best practices, ensuring compliance and proposing process improvements
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries
• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures
• Perform other general accounting duties as assigned.
