Are you a dedicated and passionate educator looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs? Soliant Education is currently seeking skilled Special Education Teachers to fill multiple positions near Waterford, CT. We have openings for two Elementary Resource Special Education Teachers and one Elementary Neurodiverse Special Education Teacher.

Responsibilities:

Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a resource setting.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals and curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the inclusion and success of students in the general education environment.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and materials to address students' academic, social, and behavioral needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary to promote growth and achievement.

Elementary Neurodiverse Special Education Teacher:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with neurodiverse needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other related disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of neurodiverse students.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and academic growth of students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including behavior specialists and therapists, to address the holistic needs of students.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and assistive technology to enhance student learning and independence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Connecticut state Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
