Job Title: Small Engine Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Small Engine Technician to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain small gasoline engines used in powersports, lawn mowers, chainsaws, generators, and other outdoor power equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair small engines and related equipment
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and filter cleaning
• Diagnose mechanical issues using testing equipment and technical manuals
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed
• Ensure tools and work area are kept clean, safe, and organized
• Communicate with customers to explain issues and recommend repairs
• Order and replace parts as needed
• Stay updated on the latest repair techniques and industry best practices

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
• Proven experience repairing small engines (e.g., lawn mowers, trimmers, generators)
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read service manuals and schematics
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management abilities
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized small engine repair program
• Experience with both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines
• Valid driver’s license
