Position Overview:
CordeValle is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Server/Sommelier to enhance our dining experience by providing expert wine recommendations, exceptional service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This dual role combines the art of fine dining service with an in-depth knowledge of wine, allowing the ideal candidate to create memorable moments for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide thoughtful wine recommendations, food pairings, and wine education to enhance the guest experience.
• Serve guests with professionalism, ensuring a seamless, courteous, and efficient dining experience.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the wine list, including regional wines, varietals, vintages, and after-dinner drinks.
• Assist with wine inventory management, cellar organization, and tracking wine locations.
• Collaborate with the culinary and food & beverage management teams to create an exceptional dining environment.
• Set up and prepare dining spaces, service stations, and tables to ensure readiness for service.
• Follow CordeValle's service standards, delivering attentive and friendly service at all times.
• Engage guests with a positive attitude, focusing on making each interaction memorable.
• Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed during wine service and dining operations.
• Participate in daily service briefings and training sessions to stay informed on menu changes and seasonal offerings.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a 5-star hotel, private club, or fine dining environment.
• Certification in wine studies (such as WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers) preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift wine cases (up to 40 lbs).
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
