We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager in Yonkers. NY. This is a permanent role, offering an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team dedicated to making a significant impact on communities by providing affordable housing solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, underwriting, real estate development, and a keen understanding of low-income housing and affordable housing sectors. With a minimum of 5+ years of experience, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of affordable housing projects, from initial planning to completion.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all stages of affordable housing development projects, including site acquisition, due diligence, financial modeling, securing financing, project design, construction, and lease-up.
2. Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met on time and within budget.
3. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
4. Conduct regular project meetings and provide consistent communication to all stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and issues.
5. Coordinate with finance teams to prepare and review pro forma financial analyses, underwriting assumptions, and capital structures.
6. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to affordable housing development.
7. Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making with respect to project challenges, and implement effective solutions.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with local governments, community organizations, funders, and other stakeholders.
9. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project management staff.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Urban Planning, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management, underwriting, real estate, development, specifically in the low-income housing and affordable housing sectors.
3. Proven experience in managing all phases of affordable housing development projects, from conception to completion.
4. Strong knowledge of affordable housing finance, including low-income housing tax credits, bonds, and other funding sources.
5. Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
8. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar is highly desirable.
9. A strong commitment to the mission of affordable housing and community development.
