Job Title: Finance Business Analyst – Business Process & Controls (SAP)

Location: [New York City, NY / Boston, MA / Springfield, MA – Onsite, 5 days]

Type: W2 Contract | Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Finance Business Analyst to support finance transformation and SAP initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of finance operations, business processes, internal controls , and SAP systems . You’ll collaborate closely with finance, compliance, and technical teams to drive process improvements and ensure SOX and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document current finance and accounting business processes
• Identify gaps and recommend improvements in internal controls and compliance
• Collaborate with finance teams to optimize processes across FP&A, reporting, and audit
• Work with technical teams to align process changes with SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems
• Support SOX documentation , audit requests, and control testing activities
• Create process maps, workflows, and SOPs using Visio or similar tools
• Assist in UAT planning , test case creation, and validation of financial processes

Required Skills:

• 6–10 years of experience as a Finance or Business Process Analyst
• Strong understanding of financial controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness
• Experience working in SAP environments (S/4HANA or ECC)
• Familiarity with finance functions like GL, AP, AR, FP&A, and financial reporting
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Proficient with tools like Excel, Visio, Jira, or ServiceNow

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in large-scale SAP transformation or implementation projects
• Experience with internal audit or control remediation initiatives
