Our *Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS)* group has an exciting opportunity for a *Senior Electrical Engineer *to join our Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team. This is an opportunity to join a team supporting the next generation Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, as well as providing support to existing fielded systems. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in power electronic circuits, comfortable working with commercial off-the-shelf and custom hardware designs to achieve system requirements. This opportunity requires a combination of classic design techniques, modern power electronics knowledge, and hands on laboratory skills.

  • What YOU will do:*
  • Strategic Leadership in Design: Lead as our Senior Electrical Engineer to spearhead design activities and ensure hardware development aligns with project requirements.
  • Innovative Design Expertise: Lead the design and development of cutting-edge power system hardware, showcasing creative prowess and technical acumen.
  • Rigorous Testing Proficiency: Conduct meticulous lab testing, validating engineering change proposals and ensuring solution integrity through detailed verification test plans and reports.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Interface with diverse disciplines to foster a collaborative ecosystem driving innovation and efficiency in product development.
  • Qualifications you must have: *
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing, evaluating, and testing power supplies to drive innovation and excellence in our projects.
  • Collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines, supply chain partners, and customers to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Ensure clear and organized technical documentation on Configuration Control, Change Management, Trade Studies, Preliminary and Detailed Design artifacts and presentations.
  • Dive into PCB/PWB design, crafting efficient and reliable electrical circuits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) to transform ideas into impactful presentations.
  • *Education* - Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience *or *an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience *or* in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Design experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) power supply devices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Linux and Solaris operating systems.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
