Strava is the app for active people with over 150 million athletes worldwide. The Senior Data Scientist will play a key role in shaping data-driven decision-making by developing and deploying machine learning models, designing experimentation frameworks, and uncovering insights to drive business and product decisions. Responsibilities include developing machine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; designing and implementing experimentation strategies such as A/B testing and causal inference; building models for business challenges like propensity modeling and LTV prediction; collaborating cross-functionally; analyzing large-scale data to identify trends and growth opportunities; and staying current with advances in machine learning and AI. The role requires technical excellence, collaboration, communication skills, and a culture of learning and mentorship. Candidates should have an MS or equivalent in a quantitative field, 3+ years of data science experience, expertise in ML techniques including deep learning, experience with experimentation and statistical analysis, cloud deployment experience, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
