Salary: $139,395 – $181,216Qualifications/Requirements: The primary purpose of this position is: As the COMSEC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the COMSEC program designed to protect against unauthorized access and threats to communication systems. This critical position ensures the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of classified and sensitive communications in strict compliance with national security policies.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance based on a special background investigation and eligibility for access to SCI is required.
• This is a drug testing designated position. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manager and modernize cryptographic materials.
• Develop and conduct comprehensive training and awareness programs
• Lead proactive incident response initiatives
• Perform regular security evaluations to ensure continuous operational readiness and compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a COMSEC role or related field is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in meeting the qualifications of the new DoDD 8140 standards for an advanced COMSEC Manager in accordance with DoD Cyber Workforce Framework.
• Individual must accomplished the required DoD 8570 Information Assurance Certification commensurate with this position i.e. IAM or IAT Level III.
• Demonstrate ability to manage high-stakes security protocols and lead a team in a high-pressure environment.
• Knowledge of policies, principles, concept, guidance, techniques, methodologies pertaining to CIO compliance, information assurance/cybersecurity, and information technology concepts, principles, techniques, etc to develop policy, plans, requirements.
• Knowledge of IT security principles, policies, products and services to assess risk factors and advise on vulnerability to attach from a variety of sources and procedures and methods for protection of systems and applications.
• Expert knowledge of communications and computer systems architectures, integration, and interoperability.
• Knowledge of lifecycle process for systems and trends in present and emerging communications, computer systems, and information technology.
• Knowledge of full range of IT security principles, concepts, practices, products and services and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability, implementing mitigating improvement, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures.
• Skill and ability to speak an write clearly, concisely and accurately on highly complex and possibly sensitive issues prepared for senior military, government and private sector management officials.
• Incumbent shall be subject to a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination at least once every five years.
