We are searching for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in public tax to join our prestigious finance team. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
2. Conducting thorough financial and tax audits to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
3. Developing and implementing effective tax strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce potential liabilities.
4. Collaborating with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate and streamline financial reporting processes.
5. Providing expert advice and guidance on tax matters to clients and internal stakeholders.
6. Monitoring and interpreting new tax legislation and ensuring company-wide compliance.
7. Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
8. Identifying and recommending improvements to existing accounting systems and controls.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will possess a strong set of skills and qualifications, including:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. An advanced degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
3. Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and filing procedures.
4. Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
