Senior Accountant with Affordable Housing Experience

We are actively seeking a Senior Accountant for a hybrid, temp-to-perm position!

This role offers a $43/hr pay rate (35 hrs/week) with a salary of up to $80K upon conversion.

The Senior Accountant will manage month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and reconciliations while utilizing Yardi and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with nonprofit and affordable housing experience. Candidates must provide their own laptop during the temp period.

Location & Compensation:

Hybrid (1 day onsite/week)
Temp-to-Perm (6 months, then conversion)
$43/hr (35 hrs/week) | Salary upon conversion: Up to $80K
Mon-Fri, 9 AM - 5 PM

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of monthly close & general ledger experience
Nonprofit & affordable housing experience (Yardi required)
Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
Must provide own laptop during the temp period

Responsibilities:

Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
Support audits, budgeting, and compliance reporting
Perform reconciliations (bank, loan, interest accruals)
Oversee journal entries and wire/ACH processing
Review junior accountants' work and improve processes
